What Is Paintball?

Paint ball is becoming more and more popular for people of all ages. I wanna get one thing straight. Paint ball is a real sport, it involves a large amount of physical activity and strategy to win. The game of paintball is played by firing small balls of paint from a paint ball gun and hitting your target or opponent.

There is a lot of running and jumping when you are in a paintball match. With lots of physical movement to try and avoid being splattered with paint balls. whoever  is most covered with paint in the end is the loser of the game.

Paintball is played on large "Paintball Fields" that you can go to play on. These fields contain numerous obstacles and barriers that you have to go through and around when playing. You can play on a field or you can play paintball for fun in your own back yard.

There are many things that you are going to need in order to play paint ball. It's not cheap to start playing this sport, as with most sports the equipment is not cheap. Your going to need a paint ball gun, paint balls, an air tank, a ball hopper, and a paint ball mask. You can get most of these at a sporting goods store around you, if not usually you can find a paintball shop nearby or online.

Paintball like every sport has rules that you need to follow. The first thing to remember is safety first. You don't want anyone getting hurt when playing. Your mask must be worn at all times to keep your eyes and face safe from being shot. Be aware of whats around you, don't start blind firing because you could have a team mate right in front of you and it can hurt from point blank. Most paintball fields have a firing distance rule of usually around 20-30 feet.

Paintball is rated as one of the most fun and safest sports in the world today. As long as people continue to play along with the rules and wear proper gear, almost anyone can start playing. There is no reason to not try paintball.
